I appreciate your comments. I am looking for idea's like adding different plants or veggies that would discourage Deer if they are planted. My garden is very public , three other residences back onto it, so I'm reluctant to do something that neighbors might find a bit offensive. I have thought of putting up a string net but I'm leary about some of the small critters getting tangled. I've ordered some books that might have some idea's.<br />

I have heard that human hair and urine around the perimeter of the garden deters deer. Rural people in the state where I'm from save their hair when they cut it, and have their husbands pee in a cup and then pour it out around the garden to keep deer out of the garden. But in general, it's a good idea to plant extra if you can, because wildlife will get into the garden.
