best known for her hospital stay that nearly cost her a spot on the

became her personal highlight. "My favorite performance was 'As Long As
I Can See the Light,'" she told Cantiello. "Hours earlier I had gotten
out of the hospital, and I was just really happy to be healthy enough
to perform that song."

take the title, but I think Crystal Bowersox will remain a competitor
on “American Idol” for quite some time. Furthermore, Crystal Bowersox’s
hospital trip can only improve her chances. Now that she’s all over the
news, more people will be paying attention to Crystal Bowersox if they
weren’t already.
A different type of contestant

“American Idol” judges have said from the beginning that Crystal
Bowersox isn’t your usual “American Idol” contestant. Even Crystal
Bowersox herself has said that she never imagined herself being on
