There is now a smaller OPENBOX F3 called the M3 which has a rear mounted USB and claims to have a better tuner.I think it an excellent box as a Client box. As an entry level box the F3 is a marked improvement.
They say has a 50,000 channel capability, versus Skybox F3, versus Skybox M3 full HD 1080P. They All seem to carry the latest: ali 3601 Main Chipset. F3 seems faster, then previous models and UI little better so marked improvement. Only downfall is USB on front, loads of component connections on the back also, but others are good enough. It cannot be used as a server as yet but the box is simple to set up as a client (lines added with remote), it's fast and the PQ is very good, full 1080p via HDMI whereas many of the openboxes have lacked HDMI and had DVI output instead (which does not carry sound). Only small drawback for me is the only USB socket is front mounted under the flap so if using an HDD/memory stick for PVR funtionality, or using wireless, the flap must be open. It doesn’t matter what they call it as the manufactures and models will all have different configurations and PCB builds and those builds may change from run to run as they source based on price and availability.
OPENBOX F3 looks like the one of Openbox X3, and after that, Openbox X4 come out these days that there are seems to less venders for the X4. If you are interest in X4, Mystore365 have it show on the website. Just search Mystore365 on your browse to know more information about Openbox X4.
