I have a passion for it although I failed badly 10 years ago. I went back to the drawing board of getting educated in Stocks Trading with patience and persistance.
Now I am back on my feet and ready to charge the market but this time I am a much wiser Trader....many thanks from the University of Hard Knocks' lessons.
It has made me believe that there is no shortcut to success.
I believe in sharing my knowledge and experience. The truth is.... the more I share, the better I get.
Hi Alfred
Good to hear from you
Tricky game you are in, lots of people can be benefited or harmed as you make your decisions, glad I am not in it. Teaching people to do a job is hard enough, and I get 2 years to correct the mistakes I make with them!
I nearly went to work in Malaysia, many years ago.. I was going to go to Sarawak, but didn't in the end. Very different place now, I expect,
John
Hi Alfred. The best always get up after getting knocked down. I pray that God blesses you with success in many, many areas. Keep focused and courageous. The cream always rises to the top. Thanks
Dennis
Hello Alfred,
I don't have much idea about "level 2 quotes". I did visit your blog mylevel2quotes.com and from what I understand is that its some software for technical analysis. As such I have no idea whether it is applicable to our Indian markets or not.
But anyways, thanks for adding me as a friend and hope we can share some good knowledge on understanding the markets better.
Hello Mr. Chew. As I understand the situation, precious metals are a commodity of choice during inflationary times. In the USA, gold and silver has been climbing. Historically the two metals have maintained a ratio. But during the last year or so, silver has not climbed as much as gold has. Leaving a gap. Have fun.
well... i have no idea from where to get the language translator from. if you have any links for that, it will be really helpful if you could send them to me.
Hello Alfred,
I made some more efforts to find out more about L2Q. And what I understand from what I have been able to gather is that L2Q simply means that the trader can know the "buyers' identity", "no of shares he is bidding for (bid quantity)", "the price at which he is bidding (Bid Rate)", "sellers' identity", "sellers' quantity" and "quote rate".
If this is what Level 2 Quotes means, then I can say that it is pretty much applicable to BSE too!! Just the buyers and sellers identity cannot be found out. But what we can know is top 5 buyers quantity and their corresponding bid rate and top 5 sellers qty and quote rate; total buyers depth; total sellers depth; and of course the regular details like % change, total volume, last trade price, last traded volume, open, high, low, close, weighted average etc. But all this is available to those who are trading online through BOLT (Bombay On-Line Trading).
If L2Q is much more than this then please let me know.
Well, even I do track Nikkie, Strait Times, Hang Seng, NYSE, NASDAQ and some European like FTSE, DAX, CAC etc. and some leading international stocks too.
Am still a rookie at markets with just under 3 years at regularly trading in the market. But I am sure we can contribute some experiences & learn from each other :)
Hi Rahul,
The Level 2 Quotes is applied to the US Stock Market only. There may be different kind of Quotes available for different market.
The remaining of what you mention can be found on a good charting software. For me I would like to use the most basic charting tools like trendlines, channel, Dow Theory, Flags, Volume, Fibonaci Retracements and sometimes Elliot Waves.
As for the Indicator, I would use MACD and Stochastic to determine the right time to buy and sell.
Before the entry, I will use the Level 2 Quotes to determine and to confirm the strength/momentum for the best entry/exit price.
I have a new blog written on L2Q at http://level2quotes.wordpress.com/ Please check it out on how L2Q can help to trade.
