I traveled mainly to learn about the history and art culture of places whose literature I had studied or in order to study my language skills. I went to Russia on a student ambassador trip when it was still part of the USSR. Later, I went to Mexico because it was an economical trip for winter break, and later lived and studied for a year in England as an English literature major. I had studied German, Russian and Latin language and literature in high school and at university, so I was interested in learning more and practicing some of my language skills. I took a Eurail trip starting from England and visited those other countries on that list as a backpacker. After that, I became a member of the working poor when I started teaching as a part-time college instructor. I could no longer afford to travel, and I spent most of my breaks catching up on grading. I also developed an anxiety response airports in general. While I am not scared of flying or being in a plane, I do not like airports anymore. I try to drive most places I travel now, and I try to avoid flying as much as I can. I am open to taking trains.
Thank you very much. Happy new year to you.
I'm an italian high school teacher and I want to publish on Knol many articles about italian literature. I hope this group can help me.
