Compressed Earth Block are like adobe blocks however they are much stronger and have a better thermal mass. the block range in size but are most commonly around 14"x10"x4". You can make them on site if your soil has the right amount of clay in it. check out my short vid

The mortar is a slurry of clay and water that is only used in the horizontal joints. Adobes need to dry and are not as stable as the CEB's. So you don't have as many unusable blocks. Depending on the earth block machine you can produce 500 to 750 block each day. Unlike adobe the blocks "CEB's" can be stacked "Green" meaning that they do not need to dry in the sun.

Ya....it is gutsy to be stayin here but there are many guys staying here......and some renovation crap talk is in the air.......so there is extra worry of keeping our belongings in the common room.......lets hope this time renovation do happen in our hostel.....varna to last time nothing happened....and when we returned, we found our rooms soaked in rainy water....
