He is a multi-award winning Producer at matrixx, a leading production company headquartered in Santa Monica, CA which he founded in 2000. His creative and entertainment marketing execution for leading brands and for innovative new companies has literally defined branded entertainment.

Van has produced a number of exciting film and television projects including Kings of South Beach starring Donnie Walhberg from Van’s concept with writer Nicholas Pileggi (Goodfellas, Casino) as well as innovative web series, mobile series and extensive brand/product integrations in smash hit productions.

A board member and venture capitalist to a number of successful start ups that were acquired or went public, Van was recognized for his achievements and named to the prestigious Inc. magazine 'Birthing of Giants' entrepreneurial group.

His passion is innovative content and digital convergence projects such as building yesmail, a leading new media advertising company. Van discovered the firm with one employee and guided it to more than 200 employees, a $320 Million IPO and subsequent sale for over $700 Million.

Van is a former Senior Executive of Compaq Computer Corporation and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Engineering. A veteran of NASA and the U.S. Navy, he is an avid adventurer and accomplished pilot.
