Knowledge is Power!
In any context where unfamiliar people meet, feelings of intimidation and discomfort often arise. However, when everyone wears name tags, it becomes easier to approach one another and start conversations. In a customer service setting, employees wearing name tags seem more personal and accessible. In addition to helping existing members recognize each other by name, name tags help the group identify and welcome new visitors.
Name tags also help promote awareness of the organization. Members or employees who wear their name tags off premises will gain valuable exposure for the organization. People who see the name tags will often ask questions about the organization, creating opportunities to spread the word about the group, promote its work, and gain new members.
The easiest option is to use affordable, disposable, blank adhesive name tags. This option may be best for organizations with limited budgets, extremely large numbers of participants, or one-time events. The disadvantage to this option is that the name tags look unprofessional and unappealing. Additionally, poor handwriting often makes it difficult to read the names, defeating the point of having the tags.
Metal nametags are a great option for organizations who wish to communicate a professional, prestigious appearance. Available with a brushed gold or silver finish, metal name tags are eye catching and elegant. Metal name tags also have the option of rounded corners and a frame, further enhancing their stylish look.
For the most crisp, visible appearance, digital imprinting is used over engraving for name tag designs. Digitally imprinted logos are more bold and easier to read, making a better impression. The only downside to metal name tags is that they are vulnerable to scratching damage, however, with proper caution, it’s not too difficult to keep them in excellent shape.
