A Note of Thanks to Staten Island, New York's Brilliant Politicians.

This is a thank you from all of the fraustrated Staten Islanders. Thank you, local politicians, for not increasing ferry service into Manhattan on the weekends, Lord knows we wouldn't want that.

Thank you, local politicians, for thinking ahead and never completing the bygone era's proposed Richmond Parkway, Willowbrook Expressway and several other thorofares on the island, Us commuters love to sit in 3 hours of traffic every day getting to and from work.

Thank you, local politicians, for never thinking to add train service to the plans of the 12 lane Verrazanno Bridge because again we all love the three hour views of Lower New York Bay as we're stuck in bumper to bumper traffic trying to get into Brooklyn.

Thank you, local politicians, for never connecting Staten Island to the massive NYC Subway system, because again we royally love our one hour commute into the city which at best would take maybe five minutes by train, thank you.

Thank you, local politicians, for building us poor navigatable roads (assuming you are going faster than 5 miles and hour in the 24hour rush hour we have here) it would be nice to have had alterative cross island routes when the main arteries get clogged up. Thanks for thinking ahead, who needed a grid plan anyway? Thank you.

Thank you, local politicians for those two gigantic fishtanks in the St. George Ferry Terminal, because, you know, that's just what we needed.
