Professional and other serious authors may wish to write for the Open Encyclopedia in various ways.

One way may be within the frame-work of Knol Journals (a name coined here), in which alphabetically-listed encyclopedia entries are collated into broad themes that can then be viewed as a coherent bodies of information within the overall encyclopedia.

Technically, a model for this idea is provided by virtual photo albums, in which photos related to a particular theme are collated under one title, from a much larger collection of photos. We do not know, but Google might already have recognised this possibility (an obvious use of existing technology?) in its design work for the Open Encyclopedia.

This idea reverse the conventional manner in which journals come into existence, as anyone who wishes to become a journal editor or contributor can suggest or lead the creation of new journal based on existing content, rather than depending on the soliciting of new content from potential authors.

Once the idea for a Knol Journal is established, then new writers may be more keen to write for an identifiable community of writers and readers, with all the help that good editors can offer (ideally) to encourage and support writing projects.

Meanwhile, writers hoping to contribute to the planned Open Encyclopedia (and other publishers) can seek volunteer, experienced or professional editors and translators at The Research Cooperative (www.researchco-op.co.nz), a not-for-profit collection of forums designed to facilitate communication between research writers and the people who can provide language services.

Authors and editors who would like to contribute to the Open Encyclopedia can use the forum here for an open discussion of the Google platform, the possible creation of Knol Journals, and the general utility of the Knol platform for writers.

Can we write essay regarding the education in the journal

Dear Pollachi,

Your suggestion is interestiing, but just now I am tied up with other matters (research), but I would like to send you a book I have edited entitled:

Research Writing in Japan: personal, practical and cultural perspectives (National Museum of Ethnology, Osaka). This is distributed free by our museum for educational purposes and I can send you a copy.

This might be relevant to your work at the District Institute of Education and Training, or - at least - it might be a good starting point for further discussion between us.

If you like, please send me your postal address to my email: researchcooperative att gmail dott com

(att = @, dott = .)

Thanks, Peter

Adderall For ADHD

Currently, 4.4% of the adult population has ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). This disorder is present from childhood, but many times it is not diagnosed until the person reaches adulthood and takes on more responsibility such as what is required when managing finances and jobs, and when interacting with spouses or significant others or their children. Under these additional demands, the attributes of ADHD (inattention, distractibility, and impulsivity) may become more prevalent.… Continue

Impact of Social Media on SEO

Mike Seidle from Pro Blog Service wrote..."Most of our clients at Professional Blog Service come in thinking SEO. Somewhere they hear that blogging works for getting better ranks on Google. Then a funny thing happens: After about one-three weeks the light goes on and they realize that social media can be much bigger than SEO for their business. After that the game changes to a full on social media blitz - and the SEO benefits - they don’t… Continue

8 Ways Employers Bend The Florida Overtime Wage Laws

The Fair Labor and Standards Act (FLSA) requires employees who work overtime to be paid for the additional work they have done beyond the standard 40 hour work week. Even though this law is supposed to make things standard across the country so all employees are treated fairly, some employers routinely "cheat" their employees out of overtime pay, even if they do it unintentionally. Because the law is confusing and complex, it is easy for employers to either misinterpret the FSLA or to "bend" the… Continue

Engraved Name Tags

Name tags are worn by employees for many reasons: to let a customer know that the person they are talking to is a representative of the company; to help employees feel that they are a part of a team; and to help "brand" the company logo to the client. Name tags come in all shapes and sizes and in all colors and styles, but one of the most durable and professional name badges you can get are engraved name tags.

We've all seen someone wearing them - we've pr…

Time To Go Mobile

Well, it's time to convert your website into a mobile version.

Why?

iphone is now selling re-furbished iphones for $99.00 (so practically anyone can afford an iphone) - AND Walmart is now selling iphones. That means that this product will now be more in the mainstream than ever. The number of mobile phone users continues to grow, despite the global recession. And what is the mantra for Internet marketing?

GO WHERE YOUR AUDIENCE IS

Yes, the "build it… Continue
