Nice photography! I enjoy taking pictures of plants. Although, I have an assortment of cameras, I find it adequate to just take a picture with the cell phone. I do, however, use 2 different focal length lenses, one of which is placed over the cell phone's lens that allow for a magnified view of a flower or leaf structure. It must be nice to live in Florida. Such a variety of beautiful plants would grow well there. I see from your blog that you raise zucchini and other vegetables.
I used a solar oven today to cook zucchini, broccoli, and onions in a 1 liter pot and a small amount of rice in a 1/2 liter pot. The sun was shining all day long and we even had a high in the mid 60's. Broccoli is well suited for solar ovens.
The stems cook to tender perfection and the fragile tops are in perfect condition after cooking in the low temperature of the solar oven.
Hi Stephanie, Whenever I do a mailing I always use photos of the pieces that I am selling. When customers come to a show I love watching them say "Look! That's the piece in the postcard!" It seems to add a bit of "celebrity" status to my pieces making them more desirable and sort of burning the business name into their minds. Also, if someone is interested in a piece but is still on the fence about buying it I give them a postcard or a photo of the piece (with contact information on the back) to keep as a reminder. After giving out a postcard a customer came back about a year later to buy the actual piece. His wife said that he was drooling over the postcard which they had stuck on their refrigerator for a year. Advertising and marketing is a strange field! Do whatever works!

I don't know if you've ever been there already (my first and only time so far was in May 2008) but if you like gardens and flowers, Madeira is definitely one of the places to visit.
I will set out some containers for collections if I have help to do it. I don't mind paying for the containers either. I know others with complexes that would allow us and the city of Gulfport already said we could have all the glass bottles we want delivered free. I want to build a house with them.
I don't think it has to be compulsory. I own apartment complexes and would be happy for anyone to set out decent looking containers for collections. It would be a great business opportunity for someone to get free materials set into a container. City run Garbage collection is very inefficient. Private can offer better service and charge less money to residents than a city op. I checked into that because Gulfport Garbage collection is so badly run.

Is an artist's "vision" primarily a product of experience or imagination? I don't want to pursue the simple answer that it's both. Is it primarily one or the other, of if it's just plain old both, how do they interact to create an imaginary world?
Is it true that some people have more artistic vision than others, or is this kind of seeing equally available to all?
